Governor J.B. Pritzker is defending his decisions to restrict high school and middle school sports in Illinois. He says it's not just about individual choice.
The governor says he's listening to experts when making decisions. The Illinois High School Association recently sent a letter to Pritzker asking if it could be in charge of resuming sports and not the state's health department.
Rush University Medical Center Infectious Disease Specialist Michael Lin says certain sports are more dangerous because of high contact involved.
High School Football has been delayed until the spring.  There have been a few demonstrations across Illinois to try to convince schools to resume sports as normal.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,941 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday and 35 new deaths. Illinois has had a total of 266,151 cases and 8,367 deaths.
