The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 2,084 new COVID-19 cases as of Friday afternoon. There were 21 new deaths. The State is up to 190,508 cases and 7,613 deaths. The state hasn't seen an increase of over 2,000 cases since May.
The State's test positivity rate rose to 4.1% from 4%. There were 1,486 people hospitalized for the virus. 333 patients in the ICU and 125 were on ventilators.
Kendall County was up to 1,391 cases on Friday. There are 487 active cases in the county. There are 910 recoveries and 25 deaths.
In DeKalb County there have been 943 cases and 698 recoveries. Of 18,972 tests 18,029 have come back positive. There have been 30 deaths in that county. Fifteen new cases were added Friday.
There 25 new cases were added to the tally in LaSalle County for a total of 677. There have been 277 recoveries.
