DeKalb County Sheriff's Office:

A Leland man was arrested for Possession of a Firearm with No FOID Card and other offenses following a traffic stop west of Somonauk in Victor Twp. on Friday.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, deputies pulled over a vehicle being driven by 29-year-old Nicholas Owens of N. West St. for traffic violations in the area of Suydam Rd. and Burma Rd. at around 9:56 a.m.

Upon investigation, deputies arrested Owens for Possession of a Firearm with No FOID Card, Possession of Firearm Ammunition with No FOID Card and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Owens was transported to the DeKalb County Jail for booking.


Oswego Police Department:

Oswego Police officers responded to a battery incident on Thursday night.

According to a press release, officers responded to the 2300 blk. of Rt. 34 at around 7:02 p.m. to investigate.

No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.
