Note to Readers: Information presented here is obtained from the city police and sheriff's departments. Individuals listed in reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proven guilty in court.

Yorkville Police Department:

Lawn ornaments were reported stolen and damaged at a residence in Yorkville.

Yorkville Police took the report on Friday in the 1300 block of Chestnut Ln. around 6:58 p.m.

Police say about $60 in ornaments were damaged while $195 in ornaments were stolen from the front of the home.

Investigation into the Theft and Criminal Damage to Property is ongoing.


Oswego Police Department:

A 65 year-old Oswego man was issued a personal recognizance bond on a DUI-Alcohol charge following a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Saturday night around 9:07 p.m. in the village.

Oswego Police say they were called to the intersection of Route 34 and Douglas Rd. where a passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle were found.

Police say the driver of the passenger vehicle, 65 year-old Thomas Spradau of Oswego was charged and released with an upcoming court.

Neither Spradau or the other driver, a 51 year-old Carol Stream man, were injured.


Kendall County Sheriff's Office:

A Reckless Driving and Criminal Damage to Property incident is under further investigation in Kendall County.

Kendall County Sheriff's deputies are handling the case and incident that occurred on Sunday around 12:42 p.m. in the area of Douglas Rd. and Collins Rd. in Oswego Twp.

No arrests have been announced at this point.

Investigation is ongoing.


A Criminal Damage to Property report was made in Boulder Hill, early Monday morning around 12:32 a.m.

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office had deputies respond to the 100 block of Circle Dr. West. No arrests have been announced.
