DeKalb County Sheriff's Office:

A Belvidere man was arrested for DUI following an incident in Sandwich on Friday.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, deputies pulled over a vehicle being driven by 67-year-old Alan Peterson of Sage Ct. for improper lane usage in the area of Main St. and Pearl St. at around 11:18 p.m.

Upon investigation, deputies arrested Peterson for DUI; he was additionally cited for Improper Lane Usage and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.

Peterson was transported to the DeKalb County Jail for booking procedures.

A Washington, Ill. woman was issued a citation in a two-vehicle accident near Sycamore on Friday.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the area of Plank Rd. and Devine Way at around 2:26 p.m. to investigate.

Upon investigation, deputies found that 22-year-old Mackenzie Cross of Knollaire Dr. allegedly rear-ended a vehicle being driven by a 25-year-old Sycamore man while he was slowing for other vehicles.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Deputies issued Cross a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

Kendall County Sheriff's Office:

Officials with the Kendall County Sheriff's Office responded to a battery incident near Yorkville on Friday.

According to a report, deputies responded to the 8000 blk. of Van Emmon Rd. at around 4:58 p.m. to investigate.

While investigating, deputies were unable to determine if a battery occurred.  

No injuries were reported.

Officials with the Kendall County Sheriff's Office are currently investigating a domestic battery incident that occurred near Yorkville early Saturday morning.

According to a report, deputies responded to the area of Ashe Rd. and Galena Rd. at around 2:37 a.m. to investigate.

A female victim reported to deputies that she had allegedly been battered by her boyfriend, who fled the scene.

An investigation is on-going.
