Note to Readers: Information presented here is obtained from the city police and sheriff's departments. Individuals listed in reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proven guilty in court.

Kendall County Sheriff's Office:

Officials with the Kendall County Sheriff's Office are currently investigating a criminal damage to property incident that occurred near Yorkville at some point between Thursday night and Friday night.

According to a report, deputies responded to the 1200 blk. of Game Farm Rd. at around 6:10 p.m. to investigate.

Upon arrival, deputies found a window on a vehicle had been shattered.

The vehicle did not appear to have been entered or have any items removed. Officials say the damage may have been related to weather conditions.

An investigation is on-going.

Officials with the Kendall County Sheriff's Office are currently investigating a residential burglary that occurred near Yorkville on Friday.

According to a report, deputies responded to the 11000 blk. of Walker Rd. at around 7:34 p.m. to investigate an incident that occurred at some point between 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

It was reported to deputies that entry to the residence was forced. Jewelry and electronics were reported stolen.

An investigation is on-going.

Plano Police Department:

A Plano man was arrested for Obstructing Identification and on an out-of-state warrant following an incident in Plano on Friday.

According to the Plano Police Department, officers responded to the 2900 blk. of Courtney St. at around 7:43 p.m. to investigate a domestic incident.

The alleged suspect, 31-year-old Nicholas Smith of Courtney St., would not identify himself to police.

Officers placed Smith under arrest for Obstructing Identification and transported him to the Plano Police Department for booking.

Smith was fingerprinted at the station, at which point officers found that he had two active warrants out of Minnesota for a probation violation.

Officers transported Smith to the Kendall County Jail to await extradition to Minnesota.
