Officials with the Oswego Police Department are currently investigating a harassment through electronic communications incident that occurred at Oswego High School on Thursday.

According to a report, officers responded to the school in the 4200 blk. of Rt. 71 at around 7:00 a.m. on Friday to investigate.

No further details were provided.

Officials with the Oswego Police Department are currently investigating a theft incident that occurred at a business in the village on Friday.

According to a press release, officers responded to the 4900 blk. of Rt. 71 at around 5:56 a.m. to investigate the incident.

Upon arrival, officers found that an unknown person or persons broke into the business and removed several tools.

An investigation is on-going.

Officials with the Oswego Police Department are currently investigating a burglary from a motor vehicle incident that occurred on Thursday.

According to a report, officers responded to the 1500 blk. of Douglas Rd. at around 9:25 p.m. to investigate.

Around $1,300 in property was reported stolen.

An Oswego man was arrested for two counts for Domestic Battery following an incident in Oswego on Friday.

According to a report, officers responded to the 0-100 blk. of Benton St. at around 2:47 p.m. to investigate.

Upon arrival, officers arrested 50-year-old Ronald Barton of Oswego of Benton St. for two counts of Domestic Battery.

Barton was transported to the Kendall County Jail for booking.

Officials with the Oswego Police Department are currently investigating a criminal sexual assault that was reported on Friday.

According to a press release, the report was taken from the 100 blk. of Benton St. near Adams St. at around 5:00 p.m.

Officials say that this appears to be an isolated incident.

An investigation is on-going.

Two Montgomery women were arrested for Retail Theft following an incident in Oswego on Friday.

According to the Oswego Police Department, officers responded to the 2300 blk. of Rt. 34 at around 5:45 p.m. to investigate.

Upon arrival, officers arrested 19-year-old Izabel Ortiz of Kingston Ave. and 19-year-old Yadira Ochoa of Grandview Pl. for Retail Theft; Ortiz was additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of Alcohol.

Ortiz and Ochoa were both transported to the Oswego Police Department, where they posted bond and were released with court dates.
