Oswego Police Department:
An Aurora woman was arrested for DUI following a single-vehicle accident in Oswego early Thursday morning.
According to the Oswego Police Department, officers responded to the area of Rt. 34 and Wolf Rd. at around 12:51 a.m. to investigate.
Upon investigation, officers arrested 20-year-old Vanessa Ortiz of Fredericks Ave. for DUI and Driving an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
Ortiz was released with an upcoming court date.
Oswego Police officers responded to a report of a mislaid cell phone on Wednesday.
According to a report, officers were dispatched to a business in the 0-100 blk. of Main St. at around 3:17 p.m. to investigate.
The victim stated that he dropped his cell phone on the couch at the business and when he went back to retrieve it there was a group of juveniles standing near the couch.
After confronting the individuals, they left the business.
The victim found his cell phone on the ground in Hudson Crossing Park a short time later.
No charges have been filed at this time.
Officials with the Oswego Police Department are currently investigating a fraud incident that occurred on Tuesday.
According to a report, officers responded to the area of Meadows Ct. and Harvey Rd. at around 8:26 p.m. on Wednesday to investigate.
No further details were provided.
Yorkville Police Department:
A juvenile was transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries following a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident in Yorkville on Sunday.
According to the Yorkville Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 400 blk. of E. Main St. at around 5:33 p.m. to investigate.
Upon arrival, officers found that an accident had occurred involving a vehicle being driven by a 72-year-old Yorkville man and juvenile pedestrian.
The juvenile was transported to Rush-Copley Hospital by Little Rock-Fox Paramedics to be treated for injuries.
No citations were issued.
A Plano man was cited for Improper Lane Usage following a single-vehicle accident in Yorkville on Wednesday.
According to the Yorkville Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area of Rt. 34 and Game Farm Rd. at around 7:14 p.m. to investigate.
Upon arrival, officers found that a vehicle being driven by 19-year-old Thomas Pekofske of Rt. 34 allegedly went off the roadway and collided into a porta-pottie, causing damage.
Officers issued Pekofske a citation for Improper Lane Usage; no injuries were reported.
