DeKalb County Sheriff's Office:

A Shabbona man was arrested on Tuesday on multiple counts of Aggravated Domestic Battery and Domestic Battery following an incident that occurred at his home.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrested 36-year-old Tadd Reiter of Shabbona for two counts of Aggravated Battery and six counts of Domestic Battery.

Officials say a DeKalb County Sheriff's detective followed up on a previous call at Reiter's residence, resulting in the arrest on Tuesday.

Reiter was transported to the DeKalb County Jail to be held on $10,000 bond with 10% needed to apply.

Reiter posted bond and was released with a GPS monitor bracelet.


Kendall County Sheriff's Office:

Officials with the Kendall County Sheriff's Office are currently investigating an identity theft incident that occurred in Newark at some point between Oct. 15 and 16.

According to a report, deputies responded to the 0-100 blk. of Johnston St. on Wednesday to investigate.

Upon arrival, deputies found that the suspect or suspects in the incident made three transactions using the victim's information, resulting in a total dollar loss exceeding $1,000.

An investigation is on-going.


Oswego Police Department:

Officials with the Oswego Police Department are currently investigating an incident in which a child was left unattended in a vehicle on Wednesday.

According to a report, officers responded to a business in the 2500 blk. of Rt. 34 at around 1:27 p.m. to investigate.

Upon arrival, an employee reported to officers that a child had been left unattended in a vehicle for 23 minutes while the customer was shopping.

No charges were listed.
