Note to Readers: Information presented here is obtained from the city police and sheriff's departments. Individuals listed in reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proven guilty in court.

Oswego Police Department:

An apparent Attempted Fraud incident was thwarted by Oswego SD308 personnel.

That's according to Oswego Police who responded to a district building that houses Building and Grounds, Construction and Receiving.

Police were called around 10:00 a.m. to the 0 to 100 block of Stonehill Rd. where the alleged attempted fraud occurred but police say district personnel caught the attempt before any money had actually been transferred.

No arrests have been announced.


Oswego Police say it is alleged that someone created fraudulent accounts with another person's information for about three years.

Police took that Identity Theft report in the 100 block of Presidential Blvd. around 10:39 a.m. on Monday.

According to a report, the individual's name was used to create the fraudulent accounts between 2015 and 2018.

No arrests have been announced an investigation is ongoing.


Kendall County Sheriff's Office: 

Kendall County Sheriff's deputies took an Identity Theft report from the 12000 block of Galena Rd. in Little Rock Twp. on Monday.

Deputies were called around 9:49 a.m. where it was reported that several credit accounts were opened using the victims personal identification information.

The matter is under investigation.


An alleged Identity Theft was reported in Lisbon Twp. in rural Kendall County on Monday afternoon.

Kendall County Sheriff's deputies responded around 12:33 a.m. to the 0-100 block of Pletcher Dr.

No arrests have been announced. The investigation is ongoing.


An alleged Aggravated Battery occurred in Boulder Hill on Monday night.

Kendall County Sheriff's deputies took the report around 7:50 p.m. in the 0-99 S. Bereman Rd. No arrests have been announced and it was not stated whether there were any injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing.


LaSalle County Sheriff's Office: 

LaSalle County Sheriff's Officials say a man from unincorporated Sheridan is charged for allegedly Driving Under the Influence and for Domestic Battery.

The sheriff's office says deputies were called to 43 year-old Andrew Johnson's address in the 2500 block of N. 3739th Rd. on Friday around 1:10 a.m.

At the address, Johnson was arrested for the charges and for Unlawful Possession of Ammunition with a FOID Card.

It wasn't stated if anyone was injured in the Domestic Battery. Johnson was transported to the LaSalle County Jail.
