Kendall County Sheriff's Office:

Officials with the Kendall County Sheriff's Office are currently investigating a theft incident that occurred near Oswego in Bristol Twp. at some point between Thursday night and Friday afternoon.

According to a report, deputies responded to the 7000 blk. of Rt. 34 at around 8:45 a.m. to investigate.

The complainant reported that a blue garbage can was stolen from their property.

An investigation is on-going.

Officials with the Kendall County Sheriff's Office are currently investigating a domestic battery incident that occurred near Oswego on Monday.

According to a report, deputies responded to the 2000 blk. of Rt. 31 at around 11:25 a.m. to investigate.

The incident allegedly involved a male and a female.

No injuries were reported, and no charges were listed against either party involved.

Officials with the Kendall County Sheriff's Office are currently investigating a burglary incident that occurred near Newark on Saturday.

According to a report, deputies responded to the 14000 blk. of Rt. 71 at around 3:21 p.m. on Monday to investigate.

An unknown suspect allegedly entered an outbuilding on the property and stole miscellaneous items. The property taken is valued at around $2,000.

An investigation is on-going.

LaSalle County Sheriff's Office:

A Plano woman was arrested for Domestic Battery and Endangering the Life or Health of a Child following an incident in Sheridan on Sunday.

According to the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a business in the 200 blk. of W. Si Johnson Ave. at around 11:40 a.m. to investigate a domestic disturbance.

Upon investigation, deputies found that 21-year-old Desiree Olivo of Rt. 34 allegedly battered a man at the scene.

Following the domestic incident, Olivo allegedly drove from the scene in a "reckless manner" without restraining a child in the proper seating in the vehicle.

Deputies arrested Olivo for Domestic Battery and Endangering the Life or Health of a Child; she was transported to the LaSalle County Jail for booking.

A Lemoile woman was cited for DUI and DUI over .08 following a single-vehicle accident near Mendota on Sunday.

According to the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office, deputies along with Troy Grove EMS and Mendota Ambulance responded to the 4300 blk. of Rt. 34 at around 6:56 a.m. to investigate.

Deputies found that 28-year-old Alyssa Hopps of Lemoile was traveling westbound on Rt. 34 when she failed to negotiate the curve in the road.

Hopps' vehicle left the roadway, striking a building and a parked semi-trailer.

Upon investigation, Hopps was cited for DUI, DUI over .08, Improper Lane Usage, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Hopps was released from the scene with a Notice to Appear on a future mandatory court date.

An Ottawa man was cited for DUI and other traffic offenses following a single-vehicle rollover accident near Ottawa on Monday.

According to the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the 1900 blk. of N. 31st Rd. at around 12:41 a.m. to investigate.

When deputies arrived, they found a vehicle abandoned in the eastbound lane.

It appeared, upon investigation, that the vehicle was traveling westbound when it left the roadway, rolled over and came to rest back on the road.

Deputies requested the assistance of Wallace EMS for extra lights and thermal imaging to attempt to locate the driver, who was later identified as 21-year-old Tyler Chismarick of Ottawa.

After a search of the area, Chismarick was located near a business on E. 18th Rd.

Chismarick was issued citations for DUI, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Improper Lane Usage, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Vehicle Damage and Failure to Report an Accident to a Police Authority.

Chismarick was released from the scene with a Notice to Appear on a mandatory future court date.

No injuries were reported.
