Kendall County Sheriff's Office:

Officials with the Kendall County Sheriff's Office are currently investigating a hit and run that occurred near Oswego on Tuesday.

According to a report, deputies responded to the 100 blk. of Dolores St. at around 6:45 p.m. to investigate.

No further details were provided.


LaSalle County Sheriff's Office:

An Elburn woman was injured in an ATV accident that occurred in Marseilles on Tuesday.

According to the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office, deputies and Marseilles EMS responded to the 2300 blk. of Oakwood Ln. at around 2:28 p.m. to investigate.

Upon arrival, Marseilles EMS transported 47-year-old Sharon Smith of Elburn to OSF Ottawa to be treated for injuries.

No other injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.


Montgomery Police Department:

An Aurora man was arrested for Domestic Battery following an incident in Montgomery on Monday.

According to the Montgomery Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1200 blk. of Ogden Ave. at around 7:29 p.m. to investigate.

Upon investigation, officers found that 24-year-old Hamp Fowler of 5th St. allegedly battered a female victim.

Officers arrested Fowler for Domestic Battery, and transported him to the Kendall County Jail for booking.


Oswego Police Department:

Officials with the Oswego Police Department are currently investigating a theft incident that occurred at an unknown time, and was reported to officials on Monday.

According to a report, officers responded to the 2400 blk. of Rt. 30 at around 11:45 p.m. to investigate.

An unknown suspect allegedly stole a drive-through speaker system, valued at $2,000, from a business.

An investigation is on-going.


A Plainfield woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Oswego on Tuesday.

According to the Oswego Police Department, officers responded to the area of Wolf Rd. and Douglas Rd. at around 8:30 p.m. to investigate.

Officers found that 22-year-old Christina Simms of Plainfield was driving northbound when she allegedly struck a vehicle being driven by a 53-year-old Oswego man.

Simms was injured and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

No citations were issued to either driver.


Yorkville Police Department:

Yorkville Police are investigating a stolen vehicle report that was taken, early Wednesday morning.

According to police, officers took the report from a victim in the 100 block of Betram Dr. around 3:00 a.m.

The victim reported that they believe their vehicle was stolen sometime between April 28th and Wednesday's date.

Police are investigating the case.
