An Aurora man was arrested on a number of charges for allegedly sexually assaulting and injuring an Aurora woman on Friday.
According to the Kane County State's Attorney's Office, 57-year-old Khamsaume Xayvong of E. Benton St. is charged with Class X felony Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault, Aggravated Battery and Unlawful Restraint.
Aurora Police officials say that the alleged incident occurred shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Friday at a residence in Aurora.
Xayvong allegedly knew the victim before the incident occurred.
A judge set bond for Xayvong at $1 million, with 10 percent needed to apply.
Xayong is being held at the Kane County Jail.
