An Aurora man was allegedly found to be illegally transporting a gun in Montgomery after he was involved in a traffic crash.
Montgomery Police say the crash occurred around 11:58 a.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Douglas Rd. and Montgomery Rd.
Police say 29 year-old Timothy Pryor of N. Broadway Ave. was in the crash, though, the did not further say if any other vehicles were involved. Police allegedly found a loaded handgun located inside of the vehicle.
Police also say that Pryor had the proper documentation to own the firearm, however, the firearm was transported illegally.
Pryor was also taken to a local hospital after receiving minor injuries in the crash. He was released from the hospital and was issued a notice to appear on a charge for Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
