Yorkville Police say a 49 year-old Aurora man is charged with DUI and other charges in a crash that resulted in injuries to himself and two others.
Police say the crash happened on Friday night at 11:47 p.m. at the intersection of Route 34 and Cannonball Trail.
According to a report, 49 year-old Roberto Munoz of Carlsbad Circle rear ended a vehicle that was stopped. That vehicle was being driven by 65 year-old Nan Burkhart of White Oak Dr. in Oswego.
The crash occurred as Burkhart was stopped eastbound on Route 34 at a red light. Police say the crash caused a chain reaction crash where 54 year-old Ventura Aguilar of Mulhern Ct in Yorkville had their vehicle rear ended by Burkhart's vehicle.
Munoz and Aguilar were both transported from the scene to Rush Copley Hospital in Aurora and Burkhart was taken to Rush Copley's Yorkville campus.
Injuries were all reported as being minor. A passenger in Aguilar's vehicle was not injured.
Police say Munoz was later released and was taken to the Kendall County Jail. He is charged with DUI and received an additional DUI-Alcohol citation as well as citations for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident and No Valid Insurance.
Munoz has since posted bond to be released from the county jail.
