An Aurora man has been identified as the victim of a homicide in Aurora that occurred, early Monday morning, on the city's near east side.
Aurora Police say that 26-year-old Antonio Johnson of Aurora is the deceased.
Police officials say just before 1:45 a.m. on Monday, multiple calls were received regarding shots fired in the area of the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue.
When officers responded to the area, police say they found Johnson inside of a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Aurora Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man dead on the scene.
The circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation. Police ask anyone with any potential details about the shooting to contact police investigations or Aurora Area Crime Stoppers.
