At Thursday afternoon's 4:00 p.m. Kendall County Board Committee of the Whole meeting, board members will further discuss a petition for a Special Use Permit for a rural banquet hall at BrighterDaze farm at 10978 Crimmin Rd. in Newark.

The county board tabled the petition at its July 12 meeting.

At that meeting, Fox Twp. Supervisor Jeff Spang told the county board that his township is dry, and that alcohol should not be allowed to be served in Fox Twp.

However, petitioner Adam Theis told WSPY's Jim Wyman at the July 12 meeting that BrighterDaze has already had benefit events that served local charities.

At that July 12 meeting, board member Judy Gilmour worried about the traffic on Crimmin Rd. if large events are held at BrighterDaze Farm.

In other business at Thursday's meeting, the county board will discuss a request from the Planning, Building and Zoning Committee for amendments to the county's land cash ordinances by updating the school enrollment figures, fair market value calculation and related tables.

The county board will also continue discuss proposed amendments to the land resources management plan for properties located near Route 52 in Lisbon Twp.
