Kendall County COVID-19 cases are approaching 1,000 as 11 new cases were reported by county health officials on Thursday.
The Kendall County Health Department reports that there have been 982 total cases of coronavirus.
Additionally, nine new cases were reported in the "in recovery" category, meaning 680 cases or about 69 percent of the overall case amount have recovered or have been asymptomatic for at least 72 hours.
The health department has continued to report that the county's coronavirus death total remains at 22, seven of which have had additional complex conditions. There has not been an increase in deaths in over a month.
About 80 percent of Kendall County's total cases have had no additional complex conditions reported. 2.2 percent of the total amount are deceased, 27.7 percent of continuing cases are at home and less than 1 percent remain in the hospital.
In regard to other local coronavirus data, the LaSalle County Health Department reported four additional cases on Thursday for a total of 200. There have been a total of 17 COVID-19 related deaths in the county, though, no new deaths were reported on Thursday.
In DeKalb County, an additional four cases were reported.
The DeKalb County Health Department reported a total of 557 cases. There were no new deaths with the total remaining at 18.
Kane County cases are now over 7,597 with 257 deaths.
Statewide, 894 new cases and 41 additional deaths were reported Thursday for a total of 139,434 cases and 6,810 deaths.
All of Illinois' health regions now begin the next 28-day metric toward moving into Phase 5 of the state reopening plan.
