The push of warm and humid air back into northern Illinois led to some showers and storms earlier Monday in the WSPY listening area. The overall synoptic pattern is not expected to change a great deal over next couple of days which might lead to some additional scattered shower and thunderstorm activity Monday nigh into early Tuesday morning.
There might be some development Tuesday afternoon and again Wednesday afternoon. Eventually, a cold front will move through Thursday night which will result in another opportunity for some scattered showers and storms. It will feel like mid-summer Tuesday into Thursday with highs in the mid to upper 80s along with humid conditions.
