A DeKalb man and a Wenona man were both arrested and charged after they allegedly sold cocaine to an undercover agent in LaSalle on Tuesday.
According to the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team, 22-year-old Maceo Johnston of DeKalb and 24-year-old Tyler Dennis of Wenona are charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
Agents, with assistance from the LaSalle Police Department and Peru Special Investigations, conducted a controlled purchase of less than one gram of cocaine from Johnston and Dennis in the 900 blk. of Third St. at around 3:15 p.m.
Following the purchase, Johnston and Dennis left the area in a vehicle that was later stopped by LaSalle Police.
Both men were taken into custody and were transported to the LaSalle Police Department for further investigation.
Johnston and Dennis were transported to the LaSalle County Jail for booking.
