Fire officials in Oswego say a dog was safely removed and there were no injuries in a Friday fire that burned a vehicle and garage in Oswego.

Oswego Fire Protection District officials say firefighters were called to the 200 block of Isleview Dr. around 12:45 p.m. where several callers reported a vehicle on fire in the driveway where the fire was extending to the attached garage.

According to a report, firefighters found the vehicle and garage on fire and extinguished the blaze in about 10 minutes.

A dog was found and removed from the residence and again, officials say it did not appear to have any injuries, nor were any human injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but officials say it does not appear to be suspicious in nature.

It wasn't stated what the estimated dollar loss is.

Oswego Fire was assisted by Montgomery, Plainfield and Sugar Grove Fire Departments.
