The LaSalle County Coroner's Office says an Essex man died as the result of a two-vehicle accident that took place near Grand Ridge on Friday.

Officials with the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office are expected to release more information on the crash on Saturday, but they say sheriff's deputies were called to Il. Route 23, north of Grand Ridge, around 10:09 a.m. on Friday for a two-vehicle collision.

The driver of one of the vehicles, 37 year-old Dustin Webster of Essex, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sheriff's office officials say a semi-truck was also involved in the crash and the driver was hospitalized, though, no additional information has been released.

The coroner and sheriff's offices are investigating, alongside the Illinois State Police Reconstruction Team.
