Oswego Police say that a man fishing snagged a pistol in the Fox River on Monday evening.
Police officials told WSPY that police took the found property report for the gun near E. Washington St. and Harrison St. around 9:00 p.m.
The fisherman turned the gun into the police department. Officials say the length of time the gun was in the water is undetermined at this time.
Officials added that the gun has some growth and rust on it.
