The big chill is settling into the WSPY listening area.

As Meteorologist Mike Spiel is reporting on the forecast, a Freeze Warning will be in effect from 2:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service advises during a Freeze Warning to cover sensitive outdoor plants or vegetation.

Friday's forecast shows temperatures falling into the 40's. Some showers and possible isolated thunderstorms should be expected at times with a partial clearing towards the evening.

Friday and Friday evening look breezy and cold as the low drops to 30 degrees.

On Saturday, the high temperature will reach about 52 degrees and will stay windy and chilly. Most of the weekend and Columbus day will remain around that temperature mark for a high temperature.
