Authorities say that multiple passengers on a school bus were hospitalized with minor injuries, as was the driver of another vehicle in a crash that occurred southeast of Sandwich on Friday evening.
The Kendall County Sheriff's Office says that crash happened around 5:06 p.m. at Millhurst Rd. and Sandy Bluff Rd. in Fox Township.
According to a report, the driver of a school bus, 50 year-old June Crump of Mount Prospect, allegedly failed to yield at an intersection when she struck a vehicle being driven by 85 year-old Rita Brummel of Newark.
Officials say in a press statement that passengers on the school bus were transported to various hospitals with minor injuries. It was not clear whose school bus it was and officials did not say how many were transported.
The sheriff's office says Brummel was transported to Rush Copley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Crump was not injured but was cited in the crash for Failure to Yield at an Intersection.
