MI Builders is set to purchase 214 lots at Lakewood Springs Club and Lakewood Springs North and South in Plano.
The Kendall County Board approved a resolution at Tuesday's meeting, requesting that the State's Attorney execute an agreement with the City of Plano; Lakewood Springs Special Service Area Five; and Delinquent Tax Parcels, LLC.
The pending agreement settles delinquent real estate taxes, interest and other costs for 200 lots at Lakewood Springs Club east and west of Little Rock Rd. in Plano and for 14 lots at Lakewood Springs North and South east of Plano.
The vacant lots have been on the delinquent tax rolls since the Great Recession occurred 10 years ago.
Assistant State's Attorney Leslie Johnson outlined the pending agreement for board members.
Yorkville attorney Dan Kramer has represented MI Builders throughout the process, and Kramer took a moment to thank the Kendall County Bd.
County Treasurer Jill Ferko was present and told the county board members that she approved the agreement.
Homes at Lakewood Springs range from $199,490 to $222,490.
