Kendall-Grundy Farm Bureau Manager Victoria Wax gave an update on local and state agriculture this week.

Wax said this planting season has gotten off to a much better start compared to in 2019.

Wax also had good news for the animal products industry, sharing that all Illinois meat packing plants have reopened. However, these plants are operating at 70% capacity on average, which could mean continued high prices and shortages of meat in grocery stores.
