The Kendall County Sheriff's Office says they are investigating a case where a person allegedly impersonated a police officer in order to elicit personal information from a victim in Oswego Twp.
The sheriff's office says deputies responded to the 0 to 99 block of Marnel Rd. on Tuesday around 6:00 p.m. to take the report.
The incident allegedly happened during a phone call where the person identified themselves as a peace officer.
Authorities did not indicate if information was compromised. No arrests or charges have been announced and the case remains under investigation.
