A 17 year-old Joliet teen was killed on Sunday in a shooting in Joliet and another person was shot and is in serious but stable condition.
The Will County Coroner's Office says Tyrone Portis is the deceased. He was shot in an apparent homicide and was pronounced deceased Sunday at 6:25 a.m. in the 700 block of East Palladium Dr.
The coroner says an autopsy shows Portis sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Police were called early Sunday morning around 3:00 a.m. after it was reported that shots rang out. Portis was in a vehicle with three other people when a person in another car opened fire on the vehicle Portis was in.
A 17 year-old female was also shot and was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital. No arrests or suspects have been announced at this point.
