Aurora Police say they are investigating the circumstances of a shooting on the near East side on Thursday evening where a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
Just after 7:30 p.m., multiple 911 calls were made reporting a person had been shot in the 400 block of South Lasalle Street. Officers responded to the
scene where they say they found a 29-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Aurora Fire Department paramedics arrived and transported the man to an area hospital.
The man was then airlifted to a Chicago area hospital for additional treatment, where he is now listed in critical but stable condition.
Police say detectives and evidence technicians also responded for investigation and evidence collection.
Detectives are still investigating the circumstances of the incident and no arrests have been announced. Anyone with any potential information about the shooting is asked to call Aurora Police’s Investigations Division or Aurora Area Crime Stoppers.
