A day after she was sworn-in to Congress, a Naperville Republican and Navy Veteran announced he will run against 14th District Congresswoman Lauren Underwood in 2020.
Matt Quigley made the announcement on Friday outside of the Will County Courthouse in Joliet. He, alongside supporters have alleged that Underwood improperly voted in the 2016 primary election by filing an absentee ballot in Will County while primarily living and previously voting in Washington D.C.
Former Oswego Twp. Clerk candidate Stephen Youhanaie filed the complaint with the Illinois Board of Elections.
According to his bio, Quigley is a Warrenville native left naval service after his role as an Executive Officer at Great Lakes in North Chicago.
He attended the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, earned his Masters in Business Administration and co-founded his own company, working as an entrepreneur.
