A woman walking on the shoulder of a roadway in Bristol Twp. was treated and released at the scene of an accident on Tuesday night after she was struck by the mirror of a vehicle.
The Kendall County Sheriff's Office says that deputies responded to the personal injury crash involving a motor vehicle and pedestrian around 8:03 p.m.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Bristol Ridge Rd. and Royal Oaks Dr.
According to a report, a 73 year-old Bristol man was headed south on Bristol Ridge Rd. and a 26 year-old Yorkville woman was walking southbound on the shoulder of the road when she was struck by the man's passenger side mirror.
The woman was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries. The man was not injured. The sheriff's office says the vehicle's mirror was damaged.
No citations were issued.
