Oswego Crash Through Fence

A 23 year-old Oswego resident was cited for Reckless Driving and other offenses after he allegedly crashed through a residential fence and into a cemetery on Sunday.

Oswego Police say that they were dispatched around 2:21 a.m. on Sunday to the 0 to 10 block of Sherwood Dr. to investigate.

According to police, 23 year-old Austin Middaugh of Pfund Ct. allegedly drove through a fence into Pearce Cemetery and into an area backyard where he struck additional fencing and a trampoline.

Middaugh then left the scene. Police say that investigation led to officers locating Middaugh at his home around 6:30 p.m. He was issued citations for Reckless Driving, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

Middaugh was issued a personal recognizance bond with an upcoming court date next month.

Police did not report any injuries.
