Officials with the Oswego Police Department are currently investigating two separate burglary to motor vehicle incidents that occurred on Thursday and Friday.
According to a report, officers responded to the 500 blk. of Lakeview Dr. at around 9:45 a.m. on Friday to investigate a burglary to a motor vehicle which allegedly occurred at some point between Thursday and the time of the arrival of officers.
The victim reported that miscellaneous tools had been stolen from their vehicle, resulting in a total dollar loss of $2,475.
Officers later responded to the 3000 blk. of Rt. 34 at around 3:44 p.m. to investigate a separate burglary to motor vehicle report.
In this incident, which is thought to have occurred around 2:00 p.m., tools were taken from the vehicle. The total loss is estimated at $1,500.
It is not known at this time if the incidents are related; an investigation is on-going.
