Illinois State Police say a Plainfield man was killed and another Plainfield man was charged for DUI in a fatal crash on Interstate 55 in Will County on Saturday.
In a report, police say a four-car crash occurred around 1:52 a.m. on I-55 southbound, south of I-355, which is near the Bolingbrook area.
A preliminary investigation found that the crash resulted in the death of 31 year-old Carlos Ortiz of Plainfield.
Illinois State Police have not detailed a synopsis on the crash but say that Ortiz was one of the drivers in the crash while 36 year-old Brian Larson of Plainfield was another driver.
He was charged for DUI. He was taken to an area hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the crash.
No other injuries were reported.
Illinois State Police say one of the four vehicles left the scene of the crash.
An investigation is continuing.
