A Plainfield teen was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony Manufacture and Delivery of Cannabis and with Possession of Cannabis over 100 grams.
19 year-old Matthew Zak of S. Taylor St. in Plainfield was traveling on 127th St. near Rt. 59 when he was stopped for speeding by Plainfield Police.
According to Sgt. Mike Fisher of the Plainfield Police Dept., the arresting officer detected a strong smell of cannabis when approaching the car.
When searching the vehicle, the Plainfield Police officer found moon rocks, which is a combination of cannabis bud, hash oil and ground cannabis.
Cannabis was also found in a Mason jar in Zak's vehicle as was liquid THC.
Sgt. Fisher said that 128.1 grams of cannabis were found. Zak was also ticketed for Speeding.
Matthew Zak is being held in the Will Co. Jail on a $35,000 bond.
