Police are investigating a reported scam situation in Oswego where two victims figured out a scam was occurring and the scammer began threatening them when they stopped responding.
Oswego Police say they took the report on Monday afternoon around 4:00 p.m. in the 200 block of Isleview Dr.
According to a report, the two victims told police that they were corresponding with someone who they figured out was trying to scam them through check fraud.
Police say the victims began to ignore texts from the scammer when the scammer began to send threats if they did not follow through with depositing money.
No arrests have been made at this point.
