Police officials in Mendota say there is no immediate threat to the public after two people were reported stabbed in an alleged incident that took place on Sunday.

According to the Mendota Police Department, officers responded to a disturbance call involving a knife at around 7:51 p.m.

The police met with the victim at OSF St. Paul Medical Center and discovered that he had been stabbed with a knife.

During the investigation, it was found that another male had also been stabbed. The incident allegedly took place in the 500 blk. of 6th St.

Officials say there is no immediate threat to the public at this time; no further details or the conditions of the patients will be released.

An investigation is on-going.
