A ribbon cutting is scheduled for the new Yorkville Christian High School building at 2001 Whitekirk Lane in Yorkville.
Yorkville City Officials say in a city information memo that the ribbon cutting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 2nd at 1:30 p.m.
The school is located in the Prestwick of Yorkville subdivision on the city's southeast side.
Students have actually been in the new school building since September of 2018 but the school's continued construction is nearing completion this year. The school was started in 2014.
Officials say that the school is now holding sporting events in, "the Mustang Canyon" which is the school's gymnasium.
Students went back to school on September 3rd of this year. Yorkville Christian High School, which is a private school for students entering 9th through 12th grade, has about 70 students.
