At Monday's regular meeting, the Sandwich City Council is expected to vote on the purchase of a sign-making machine from the Village of Bensenville.
Alderwoman Sheryl Chmielewski told the council on September 9 that the machine would cost the city $4,500, which is half of the usual cost.
Chmielewski said the sign-making machine is already in the city's budget.
At the Sept. 9 meeting, alderman Les Redden expressed reservations about the sign-making machine.
WSPY's Jim Wyman asked alderwoman Chmielewski how long it will take to make back the $4,500 cost of the sign-maker.
Alderwoman Chmielewski added that two city employees are skilled at operating the sign-making machine and that the machine can also be used to make other types of signs.
