A Sandwich man was booked into the DeKalb County Jail this on a warrant for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse in relation to an incident that occurred in the city in Nov. 2018.
According to the Sandwich Police Department, officers were contacted on Nov. 11, 2018 about an alleged criminal sexual assault incident that occurred at a residence in Sandwich on Nov. 8, 2018.
Upon investigation, the DeKalb County State’s Attorney’s Office approved a charge of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse against 21-year-old Jontay Woods on Feb. 28.
Woods also has a listed address in Oswego.
Officials say Woods allegedly sexually abused a female, minor family member.
A warrant was signed for Woods’ arrest on Mar. 3, and he was booked into the jail on the charge on Wednesday.
