UPDATE:

Aurora Police say a Montgomery man is the deceased in a fatal shooting that left one dead and four others injured on Aurora's near east side, early Sunday morning.

Police officials say 20 year-old Juanya Booker of Montgomery was killed among the victims in the shooting. Officials said in an update that the case remains active and an investigation is ongoing.

Just before 2:30 a.m., police say 911 calls reporting shots fired and then reports of a person shot in the 700 block of Fifth Street were received. Officers responded to the scene and found three adult victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Aurora Fire Department paramedics transported all three people to area hospitals.

As of Sunday, two victims were listed in stable condition. Police said the third victim, now identified as Booker, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at Rush Copley Hospital.

A short time later, police say two additional people arrived at the hospital, suffering from gunshot wounds from the same incident. They were also listed in stable condition.

Identity of the injured individuals has not yet been released.

Officials say detectives believe the shooting is an isolated incident and does not appear to be a random act.
