A Sycamore man was arrested in Sycamore on Friday for Threatening a Public Official after it was found that he allegedly send threats to public officials in Germantown, Wis.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, deputies were notified Thursday by the Germantown Police Department that 34-year-old Ryan Anderson of Brickville Rd. allegedly sent a threatening email to multiple people.
Upon reviewing the email, DeKalb County Sheriff's deputies learned it allegedly contained numerous "homicidal" threats to judges, police officers and attorneys in the Germantown, Wis. local area.
After an initial investigation, an arrest warrant for two counts of Class 3 felony Threatening a Public Official was obtained. A search warrant was also obtained and executed at Anderson's residence; multiple items of electronic media were seized.
Anderson was transported to the DeKalb County Jail for booking.
