Three people were injured, including two who were airlifted in a crash, north of Maple Park, in DeKalb County, on Friday.
The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to Route 64 at E. County Line Rd. around 9:06 a.m. for a two-vehicle accident.
According to a report, 43 year-old Robert Le Blanc of Bush St. in DeKalb was headed northbound on E. County Line Rd. and was stopped at the intersection when he entered the intersection and allegedly failed to yield to a westbound dumpster-hauling truck being driven by 62 year-old Ricky Brown of S. 6th St. in DeKalb.
The collision sent both vehicles off of the roadway into a gaurdrail and a ditch.
Le Blanc and his passenger, 31 year-old Michelle Le Blanc of Bush St. were both airlifted to St. Anthony's Hospital in Rockford with serious injuries.
Brown sustained minor injuries and was taken to Kishwaukee Hospital. No charges or citations have been announced at this point. The sheriff's office says they are continuing to investigate the crash.
