Two men were arrested amid a two-vehicle crash in DeKalb County, north of Waterman, on Tuesday night.
The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office says 28 year-old Brett Jackson of Woodlawn Dr. in DeKalb is charged with a felony for Possession of a Firearm While FOID Revoked, and misdemeanors for Possession of a FOID while Revoked and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
A Rochelle man, 18 year-old Julio Caballero of Avenue E. in Rochelle was also arrested on a warrant.
The sheriff's office says Caballero was headed west on Perry Rd. and Jackson was headed south on Route 23 around 11:14 p.m. when Cabellero allegedly came into the intersection and the vehicles collided, both coming to a rest on the southwest side of the intersection.
The sheriff's office says both drivers refused medical attention. A juvenile passenger in Caballero's vehicle was transported to Kishwaukee Hospital for minor injuries.
According to the sheriff's office, while conducting an investigation, Cabellero was found to have a warrant out of Aurora for alleged narcotics possession.
The sheriff's office also says that during the investigation, Jackson was charged in connection with the firearm offenses.
Both men were transported to the DeKalb County Jail for booking. Cabellero was cited in the crash for Failure to Yield and for having No Valid Insurance.
