UPDATE:

Oswego Police officials say two people have been charged in a shooting that occurred in Oswego on Tuesday morning.

In an update, police announced that 20 year-old Keyonte Jones of Wingate Dr. in Oswego and 18 year-old Corey Pryor of Apple Tree Ln. in Aurora were arrested after detainment with a third person who has not been charged.

Police responded around 10:15 a.m. to the 0 to 100 block of Wingate Dr. near Route 34 and Route 30, which is in the Ogden Falls Subdivision.

According to police officials, the incident involved an altercation between the three subjects who were acquaintances.

Police say in an updated statement that Pryor and Jones had arranged to meet at Jones' residence for an alleged drug and/or firearm deal when the altercation began.

Police allege that as Pryor was attempting to leave in his vehicle, Jones fired a semi-automatic pistol at Pryor. A bullet struck the vehicle Pryor was driving when he crashed into a tree.

Pryor was not injured in the crash. Jones is facing a felony charge for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Pryor is charged with a misdemeanor for Unlawful Use of a Weapon for allegedly possessing the firearm without a valid FOID card or Concealed Carry License.

Both men were processed at the Oswego Police station. Jones was then transported to the Kendall County Jail and Pryor was issued a recognizance bond with an upcoming court date in July.

Police thanked the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery Police Department, Aurora Police Department and the Kendall County Criminal

Intelligence Team for their assistance in the case on Tuesday.

Oswego Police officials say that three people are in custody, following an apparent shooting that occurred in a subdivision on the northeast side of the village, Tuesday morning.

Police responded around 10:15 a.m. to the 0 to 100 block of Wingate Dr. near Route 34 and Route 30, which is in the Ogden Falls Subdivision.

According to police officials, the incident involved an altercation between three subjects who were acquaintances.

Officials say one of the subjects allegedly fired a weapon in the direction of a vehicle containing another subject who was attempting to leave the scene.

Responding officers quickly located all three subjects and placed them in custody. Police say they are currently investigating the incident which is believed to be an isolated incident.
