Montgomery police on Tuesday arrested 56-year-old Darlene A. Thomas-Ryder, of Aurora, during a traffic stop after police allegedly saw her vehicle parked in a handicap spot without the proper placard in a business in the 1700 block of Douglas Road.
Police made contact with Thomas-Ryder and allege that she gave a false name to an officer. Police found that Thomas-Ryder was named in a Kendall County warrant for retail theft. Thomas-Ryder was also ticketed for driving with a suspended license, a parking violation, not having insurance, and obstructing identification.
Thomas-Ryder was arrested and taken to the Montgomery Police Department where she paid bond and then was taken to the Kendall County Jail on the retail theft warrant. Thomas-Ryder was later released on he own recognizance.
