Voices are coming in from legislators from around the area, following elections earlier this week.
Big changes are coming for the state of Illinois once Governor elect J.B. Pritzer takes over. That’s according to 75th District Republican State Representative David Welter of Morris who spoke with our sister station WCSJ. Welter's district covers portions of the WSPY listening area.
He gave his opinion on the results of election night.
In this past election, 20 of the 39 State Senate races and 54 out of the 118 house seats were uncontested.
Welter was one of the uncontested Illinois House seats.
We asked Welter what the odds of that happening are.
Welter will be heading down to Springfield next week for the fall veto session.
