A 30 year-old Aurora woman is facing a felony Driving Under the Influence charge in Montgomery after police say the woman, who had a prior DUI conviction, allegedly lied about her identity and had a child in the vehicle.
Montgomery Police say 30 year-old Dianela Contreras of S. Union St. in Aurora was arrested. Police responded to the area of Webster Rd. and Route 31 on Sunday around 5:15 a.m. for the report of an SUV that was stopped in the roadway.
Upon arrival officers made contact with Contreras, who police say initially gave a false name. Contreras additionally had a child in the backseat. Officers allegedly smelled the odor of an alcohol on Contreras' breath and observed glassy eyes.
Contreras allegedly admitted to drinking beers and performed sobriety tests in which she failed.
Police say it was also verified that Contreras had a revoked license for a prior DUI. Police did not announce any additional charges as being filed.
Contreras was placed into custody and was transported to the Montgomery Police Department and later to the Kane County Jail.
