The Yorkville City Council meets Tuesday night for a short agenda.
Yorkville aldermen will consider an amendment to the liquor code allowing banquet halls to offer outdoor liquor service.
According to city council documents, petitioners for a liquor application for the banquet hall being constructed in the 100 block of Saravanos Drive have requested the banquet hall license class and the business would also like to offer outdoor liquor service.
Yorkville Economic Development Consultant Lynn Dubajic spoke with WSPY about the business in an interview last year.
The liquor code currently does not allow for a banquet hall to offer outdoor liquor service on a patio area or outdoor beer garden. Staff is proposing to amend the banquet hall license class and have recommended approval.
In other business, a participation agreement for Yorkville River Fest is on the agenda. The City of Yorkville Parks & Recreation Department and the Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce have participated together to host the event.
The only other items up for approval Tuesday night are roughly $1.1 Million in bill payments. Yorkville City Council meets at 7:00 p.m. at Yorkville City Hall on Game Farm Rd.
